FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME
DURING COVID-19
A polite reminder for ALL facilities:
  • Per the State of Oregon, Face Masks/Coverings are no longer required in outdoor settings.
  • The State of Oregon, and NAFA, recommend that individuals who are unvaccinated or who are at risk for severe COVID-19 disease continue to wear a mask, face-covering, or face shield when in outdoor crowded areas and in outdoor large gatherings of individuals and maintain physical distancing.
  • The State of Oregon, and NAFA, remind you to stay 6ft apart when needed, recommend face masks if an individual is not vaccinated, or are in areas where they cannot maintain 6ft social distance, such as bathrooms.
  • New Dugout Policy: The State recommends face masks/coverings be worn in dugouts when 6ft. can’t be maintained.
  • The Coach is responsible to supervise their dugout how they see fit.
  • Tournament staff and umpires will no longer supervise the dugouts.
  • When your team is finished playing YOU MUST LEAVE THE PARK IMMEDIATELY – including your spectators, - this means no team meetings, no team gatherings or lunch in the common areas or green space at any facility, no ‘hanging out’ in shared/open spaces inside the facility gates.
  • NO congregating allowed in the parking lot.
  • Social Distancing is recommended at all times

What does it look like?

Teams and players have really embraced the challenges, and some of that masks look pretty cool!

NAFA understands the passion and desire to get back on the fields, however, until there is a vaccine, cure, or treatment found for COVID-19, we strongly recommend that players, coaches and all spectators adhere to the guidelines and safety precautions presented, and recommends that anyone who is considered 'high-risk' stay home.  The information and guidelines are not meant to replace those given, at any time, by the CDC or other governing bodies, nor should they replace any professional medical advice, or opinions. NAFA does not assume any liability or responsibility for the recommendations herein. Further, NAFA does not assume any liability or responsibility for the health or safety, specifically in regards to the contraction of COVID-19 or any medical issues related to the contraction of COVID-19, by any player, coach, spectator or staff who choose to participate in a NAFA event. Members of the community who have been determined by the CDC, or their medical professional, to be ‘high-risk’ should continue to shelter in place and not participate in attending a NAFA event during this time.
